Antique Brass Medium (ABM)

A darkened, handmade living finish showing golden brass undertones when new.  Antique Brass Medium ages gracefully over time to enhance its provincial, unrefined character. Striking when featured in authentic, classic designs and applied to Bella, Cilla or Giulietta door handles and brings a rustic touch to contemporary designs with Cubo, Quad or Kali door handles.

Powder Coated Finishes (PCC)

Powder Coated Colour  (PCC)
Hard-wearing and ideally suited to commercial and residential applications, Powder Coated Colour comprises a special finishing paint that is electrostatically applied for a durable, seamless finish. Two of our most popular options in this range are the Black ACE and Flat White coatings (shown). Choose from a virtually limitless palette provided by quality paint brands Dulux, Interpon or Jotun. PVD Finishes 

PVD finishes are highly resistant to corrosion and abrasion, making door hardware surfaces especially durable. Designer Doorware offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty on all PVD-finished items against tarnishing, flaking, pitting and discolouration for the product's lifetime. Currently, PVD finishes are available in three design collections – Quad, Lanex and Kali lever handles.

VBS Black Satin (PVD)
Dark and strong with a satin-smooth texture, PVD Black Satin fuses slate and graphite undertones in a contemporary hard-wearing finish. Modern, bold and understated, this finish lends itself well to projects ranging from mid-century to the ultra-modern. Clean, smooth and suggestive of satin, PVD Black Satin is a tactile, highly touchable, hard-wearing surface.

VBB Brushed Brass (PVD)
Our brushed brass PVD finish exudes timeless allure, showcasing the raw elegance of brass while safeguarding against tarnishing through its durable PVD coating.

VWB Weathered Bronze 

Elegantly and warm, our weathered bronze PVD finish envelops the surfaces with a luxurious deep bronze, infusing richness and depth, ensuring lasting beauty.

VGM Gunmetal 

Dark and strong with a satin-smooth texture, gunmetal fuses slate and graphite undertones in a contemporary, hard-wearing PVD finish.

Timber Species

Select the right timber species for your project to achieve the best possible result. We have introduced American White Oak and American Black Walnut to increase the quality of our timber products, offering a timeless appeal and long-lasting result. These are available on the new Monte Timber Collection of levers and are now also available on all our existing timber entrance handles. 

American White Oak – Raw

Popular for its versatility, distinguishing grain light sapwood with pale to dark brown heartwood. Also known as Northern White Oak/Southern White Oak.

American White Oak – Oiled
Popular for its versatility, distinguishing grain light sapwood with pale to dark brown heartwood. Also known as Northern White Oak/Southern White Oak. Scandinavian oil is applied over the natural sanded timber which enhances and protects the grain of the timber. It is ideal for use on all our timber hardware products to preserve the condition of the timber, giving a rich sheen, semi-transparent timber colour and applied to achieve the most natural appearance possible.

American Black Walnut – Raw
Popular for its rich colour, wavy grain and creamy white sapwood with light to dark brown heartwood. Also known as Black Walnut or American Walnut.                                                                                              

American Black Walnut – Oiled
Popular for its rich colour, wavy grain and creamy white sapwood with light to dark brown heartwood. Also known as Black Walnut or American Walnut. The oil finish is formulated to retain the natural appearance of the timber and can create a feeling of being timeless and beautiful. The stain can be applied to all our timber hardware products.                                                                                               

Concrete Material

Raw, primal and polarising. Pairing concrete with our metal finish so when you touch the lever, part of your hands feeling that raw urban of the concrete and another portion of your hand will also feel that soft cold metal feel so it’s that nice blend feel of rough and sumptuous.

Concrete Luna Gray (CLG)
The finished concrete’s appearance will always have aesthetic variations of shade, colour, pattern and overall size. One standard finish is available at present, which we call Luna Grey. Custom finishes are also available upon request. 

Our Standard Finishes

We generally offer two or more standard finishes for most of our product range; however, in some cases, standard finishes may also be applied as a special finish. When specifying your products online via our Selector Tool, you will be offered applicable standard or special finishing options to choose from.

Polished Chrome  (PC)
A cool mirror finish that plays with the surrounding lighting to create an eye-catching effect that adds a highlight to any design application.  Polished Chrome is a hard-wearing finish that endures most climatic conditions well and, as a popular and versatile favourite, can be applied to a wide range of architectural hardware to enhance any environment. Creates a complementary match to Polished Stainless Steel or a contrasting effect to Satin Chrome.

Satin Chrome  (SC)
A brushed, matt finish with a cool, semi-lustrous appearance and visible satin lines. An architectural favourite, Satin Chrome is very popular in contemporary design environments for a subtle complement and can be applied to a wide range of our architectural hardware. It offers a slightly more tactile quality than Polished Chrome and gives a contrasting complement to this finish, especially when both are applied together in custom designs.

Polished Stainless Steel  (PSS)
A cool mirror finish that plays with the surrounding lighting to create an eye-catching effect that adds a highlight to any design application.  Polished Stainless Steel is a popular finish that will give a statement look to entry door pull handles and cabinet handles.  Creates a complementary match with Polished Chrome.

Satin Stainless Steel  (SSS)
A raw, natural finish with a brushed look that truly captures a product’s form and aesthetic qualities. Satin Stainless Steel is a popular architectural finish that gives entry door pull handles and cabinet handles a seamless look.  Beautifully complemented by Satin Chrome and Satin Nickel finishes.
